Operation Jersey Cares is an organization that "aims to honor those men and women who provide us the blanket of freedom we all sleep so soundly under." OJC and its many volunteers pack and ship care packages to deployed servicemen and women. They also help support veterans who are suffering from the effects of deployment and assist them with the transition back into civilian life. They have shipped over 750,000 pounds of care packages and maintain weekly shipments to our servicemen and women overseas.
Every member of the OJC is a volunteer and receives no compensation or recognition for what they do. Some members even help support military families in need, veterans who are homeless, and wounded veterans in VA hospitals. They work hard to ensure that those who are currently deployed, veterans, or military families receive the support and care they need.
To help with this amazing cause, our Fred Beans Ford of Washington dealership donated something that we have easy access to, one of our Ford vans. We provided a van to help transport care packages, boxes, and other items. This very small act of charity made what the Operation Jersey Cares people do just a little bit easier.
